This week ...

I have been thinking of words all week long. Posts i could write, words i could say. After the bombings in Boston on Monday and all the media and sadness around it, a lot of the things i wanted to write about seemed trivial.

So today i thought i'd share some of my happy places online, the places i go and visit when i need a little lift ... reminders of people doing amazing things, simple beauty along the way ...

Momastery is a blog i've been reading more and more lately. I love Glennon's honesty, her faith, and her sense of humour. Her new book has just come out. I haven't read it yet but her words are lovely, this post especially was relevant this week. And this one for a beautiful woman who wrote a really powerful piece of writing.

This is a blog that just makes me happy to read it - it's mostly about interiors ... but there's a little more thrown in. Love love.

And this one ... i took a painting course with her a few years ago, when she first started teaching. It opened up a whole new way of working, and in acryllics too, and i'm really happy she's doing 30 days of blogging at the moment, i am enjoying all the updates.

For the writing itself ...

and some travel inspiration and a little mystery ...

And really today there is not much more for me to say except to share some Sunday photos (i know, i've been slacking in that area, that's what happens when i promise to do something, my inner rebel puts down her foot.)

Wishing you a week of sunshine and a little lightness in the air.

x

Central Park to see family who came to visit with lovely news, and a view on the drive home ...

                                                   ... finished ....
